Hello there,

The name's John H. Watson and I am a retired army doctor recently returned from Afghanistan. My hobbies include playing rugby, blogging and, up until a few months ago, I would assist in solving a murder or two. Since I had been discharged from the military service, I've been missing the thrill and chase of the war. Civilian life didn't seem to sit well with me, and I'd have surely lost it if I hadn't met the world's only consulting detective, Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock could see through anyone and anything, but what's incredible is how spectacularly ignorant he could be. He would use his amazing powers of deduction to assist the Scotland Yard with their cases, and I would always be by his side. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, and my good friend...got himself killed by the most dangerous criminal mastermind in the world, James Moriarty. He told me once that heroes don't exist, and there were times when I didn't even think he was human...but he was the most remarkable man I've ever known, and I owe him so much. This blog is my humble attempt to shine light on the work of the great Sherlock Holmes.
